Summary

The section was about how readers understand the literacy work and become familiar with it. As a

reader works on his book he or she they try to understand the meaning of what they go say what to do

to improvise on what they have write about. When a writer concentrates on their writing they have a

skill they themselves release to bring out and show how their strategy to help themselves boost out

their ideas. Their works are out of their own prospective. They try not to show emotions in their

writings. The writers try their best in putting a term in the simplest form but they need something to

help them continue on their writing. Within the story they put up terms and it takes a long time to

understand the term when it should be simple the word and its definition. And if a writer wants to put

emotions within a story they should but to the point where a reader can understand what they are

trying to say. The writer had his own opinion that made a reason of the terms and says they are terms

of basic writing.

What is “projective structuring”? What are some common evaluative criteria for an intelligible piece of

writing?

What I think it is about what you want to say but put in terms that when other readers read it

they can understand what they say and it has to be appealing to the readers but has to project in a

simple term and to the point. I personally thought that when they said a term that someone didn’t

understand they made it so long just to say the definition and what terms it actually meant in a simple

form. As the writer wrote what he thought it made it made some sense that they were trying to say that

writers take so much time to write a book or an essay because they need an idea to help them continue

what they wanted to write. They use an old idea a past memory something that triggers the writer to

juggle their memory and they use it in their story. Which sometimes it does help if goes along with the

prompt or whatever they are writing. According to the writer they experience it by first hand or them

saw someone who already went through it and they use it to help them write a piece that they know

they came relate to. But as the writer continued on with her list in how they use projective structure she

explains it as an imagining for the audiences can focus on it and certain idea that the writer was trying to

point out. Then the way it based on the writer needs to draw on their capacity to move away from their

own words meaning that they to need to think as a reader and imagine that they would think about the

writing. At the end of the article she likes both structuring and adds that they are basic writing skill that

are used by writers today and does suggest the used of the structures. But when they write not to

repeat words to try explaining what they want to say.

  1. i agree with you on how the writer should think as a reader, they need to understand how we feel and how we would be able to comprehend their writing, and what would grab our attention through out the whole book.
